Extended Community
Who We Are
|
Sound Circle
Sound Circle, a women's a cappella ensemble, singing together since 1994, is directed by founding Artistic Director Sue Coffee. Sound Circle and Resonance are separate entities and differ in size and structure, but share common values and vision: authenticity of voice, relevance of texts, intentionality of community, and an understanding of the importance of beauty and the healing power of musical community. GALA Choruses (the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses)
GALA Choruses (the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses) leads the North American LGBT choral movement, with a mission of “empowering LGBT choruses as we change our world through song.” GALA Choruses’ signature event is the quadrennial Festival, which brings together over 130 choruses and 5,000 singers for the world’s largest LGBT performing arts event. We acknowledge and appreciate our friends in the other Colorado member choruses of GALA: Denver Gay Men's Chorus, Denver Women's Chorus, Harmony: A Colorado Chorale, Sine Nomine, Out Loud: The Colorado Springs Men's Chorus, and Phoenix, Colorado's Trans Community Choir. Sister Singers
The Sister Singers Network is a cooperative web of feminist choruses and ensembles, composers, arrangers, and individual singers working together to support and enrich the women's choral movement. Boulder County Arts Alliance
Boulder County Arts Alliance acts as a catalyst to incubate, stimulate, and sustain a thriving arts community in Boulder County. Their activities include grant programs, workshops, fellowships, and more. As Resonance’s fiscal agent, BCAA processes tax-deductible contributions for us. Resonance has partnered with many local organizations and individuals in service of social change, including:
We have also performed for reconciling/open and affirming congregations, including:
We perform frequently to honor significant events in our singers' lives. |
