Sound Circle
Sound Circle, a women's a cappella ensemble, singing together since 1994, is directed by founding Artistic Director Sue Coffee. Sound Circle and Resonance are separate entities and differ in size and structure, but share common values and vision: authenticity of voice, relevance of texts, intentionality of community, and an understanding of the importance of beauty and the healing power of musical community.

GALA Choruses (the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses)
Resonance is a member of GALA Choruses (the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses), which supports, guides, and inspires LGBTQ+ choruses and their allies to leverage the liberating power of singing to create harmony and equity for all. GALA Choruses’ signature event is the quadrennial Festival.

We acknowledge and appreciate our friends in the other Colorado member choruses of GALA: Denver Gay Men's Chorus, Denver Women's Chorus, Harmony: A Colorado Chorale, Sine Nomine,  Out Loud: The Colorado Springs Men's Chorus, and Phoenix, Colorado's Trans Community Choir.

Sister Singers
Resonance belongs to the Sister Singers Network, a cooperative web of feminist choruses and ensembles, composers, arrangers, and individual singers working together to support and enrich the women's choral movement.

Boulder County Arts Alliance
Boulder County Arts Alliance acts as a catalyst to incubate, stimulate, and sustain a thriving arts community in Boulder County. Their activities include grant programs, workshops, fellowships, and more. As Resonance’s fiscal agent, BCAA processes tax-deductible contributions for us.

Rehearsal and performance homes
Resonance rehearses at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Recent performances have been at UCC Longmont, and in Boulder, First United Methodist Church and First Congregational Church. We have much appreciation and gratitude for all of these churches.

Resonance has partnered with many local organizations and individuals in service of social change, including:
  • Boulder PFLAG
  • Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence
  • Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center
  • Turning the Wheel
  • Boulder County AIDS Project/World AIDS Day
  • HOPE Coalition of Boulder County/HOPE Lights the Night (suicide prevention/awareness)
  • One Action One Boulder
  • Manhattan Middle School Allies

We have also performed for reconciling/open and affirming congregations, including:
  • First United Methodist Church of Boulder (our rehearsal and performance home)
  • First Congregational Church, Boulder
  • First Congregational United Church of Christ, Longmont

We perform frequently to honor significant events in our singers' lives.
